We have done some halloween writing here is my writing
You are a scientist working on growing humans in a chemical bubble, your co-worker was carving a pumpkin for Halloween next to the bubble and some of the seeds got into one of the bubbles and the seed of the pumpkin had a chemical reaction with the chemicals in the bubble. The next night you came to work it was the same as always but you had to stay at the laboratory because they needed someone to stay and keep an eye on the bubbles. They were all going well you sleep for too long and wake up at 3:36 AM on Halloween and the glass between you and the science project, they are screaming, breathing heavy trying to fight the glass to suck the blood out of your body. You are digging around you but you can’t see because the power’s out, you finally see your cell phone on the other side of the lab as soon as you pick up the phone you hear the glass smash and fly down onto the floor, you struggle to call the cops while running the strange creatures, you run out the door and all the spooky creatures and just flooding out of the door there are more and more creatures coming out you run out the hall dial 111 and call the cops...

W4 T4 weekly reflections
Yesterday we had made limerick 2 poems. Here are my two poems.
The Mouse pooped on the blouse
The Cat peed on the Batt.
The Mouse ran across the house
The Cat ran after the mouse.
The Mouse ran out the house.
Imagine a Skunk who proposes,
To His true love, surrounded by roses,
It may just turn out just fine,
When she falls for his line,
But I wonder if flowers have noses.
The Cat peed on the Batt.
The Mouse ran across the house
The Cat ran after the mouse.
The Mouse ran out the house.
Imagine a Skunk who proposes,
To His true love, surrounded by roses,
It may just turn out just fine,
When she falls for his line,
But I wonder if flowers have noses.

w7 T3 weekly reflections
Today we had to do some simple algebra, at first it looked kind of intimidating but it was actually pretty easy.
1) a + 5 = 11 a = 6
3) 10 - c = 4 c=6
5) b + 4 = 21 b=17
here is some of the maths I have done.
1) a + 5 = 11 a = 6
3) 10 - c = 4 c=6

why 1080 should be stopped weekly reflections T3 W2
Kia Ora, I think that 1080 should be stopped, do you think 1080 should be stopped?
Why 1080 Should Be Stopped
1080 is Killing our environment even killing Kiwis and other native animals, They need to stop they have to change their tactics, IT NEEDS TO STOP.
It’s killing all of our wildlife, 1080 can kill reptiles, birds, fish and insects as well as introduced mammals like pigs, deer and dogs.
What is 1080 is and why is it bad, 1080 is an artificial version of fluoroacetate, a naturally occurring chemical produced by many plants.
It horrifyingly kills pests & animals, surley can afford to make it so it does not torture them. On a farm there was a horse that died from 1080 and it took a long time for it to die, all of its veins were popping out of its body it had no body coordination they had to shoot it before it could die from 1080 when they found another horse that had already died from 1080 and it looked like its lungs have blown out of it mouth, it was underneath a pine tree and it was all messed up with branches underneath the tree.
I think that New Zealand should go back to possum trapping because they have more chance. I think that they should go with possum trapping instead of the inhumaine 1080. Here are some statistics of possum trapping (I tried to find some statistics of 1080 but there were none I could find), Possum trapping and 1080: In 1981, the best year for trappers, 3.2 million skins were exported. Trapping, poisoning and shooting has now reduced the possum population. But there are still about 30 million possums in New Zealand today.
1080 is a man-made version of fluoroacetate. It kills pets and can kill humans they dye 1080 green so that birds don’t eat it but if a pest or something eats it then a bird eats a we bit of the poisoned animal it will die, if a horse eats it i will take a long amount of time for the horse to die.

blogging reflection W10 T2
I'm most proud of my speech that I done it was on Anxiety because I felt like not many people understand what anxiety is.
The high lights from the past 2 terms would be my speech and our Hanmer Springs camp. I really enjoyed it. The 1 thing that I really want to accomplish next term is to get more work done.

Weekly reflections T2 W5 Cross Country
Yesterday we had Cross country, I came fourth and got into West Coast which you have to get top 5 to get into West Coast. You have to be Year 5 at the youngest to get into West Coast. The Year 7&8's had to run around Rugby Park once then go out a gate on one side and run about half a block up hill, then we went down the staff car park and then went around the field twice again. I felt shattered when I finished but proud of my efforts. I am still unsure if I want to go to West Coast Cross Country as you have to run so much further!

T2 W4 weekly reflections Pink Shirt Day
Pink Shirt Day
Last week on Friday we had a pink shirt day to say that we are a bully free school. We were allowed to wear pink shirts or if we didn't have a pink shirt we could buy some cookies made by Mrs O and some other students. I think it is important to be bully free because bullying makes students not want to come to school and it makes the school look bad. Let's be bully free!
W4 T2 weekly reflections, Hanmer Springs
Hanmer Springs School Camp
Kia Ora. On the 20th to 22nd of May our class and the next class (T1) went on a camp to Hanmer Springs.
Day: 1
My groups first activity was orienteering we walked down the road from out camp, took a left the went into the bush, we then got into groups of 4 to 5, a Adult and a map.
We then walked down a track with marked locations of where flags will be hanging from the branches of trees, and we would have to use the map with the marked spots of where the flags are to write down the id codes of them, and the goal was to get as much of the flags you could in 3 hours then go back to where we stared and see who won. I think my group came last. After orienteering we got to go to the hot pools for 3 hours. It was so much fun. I really enjoyed the Super Bowl because it was the first time I had been on it and I got to go on it with my friends.

Day: 2
We went to Hanmer Cemetery and we had to study about some of he people such as: "Find the person who died in a helicopter crash." and we just had to find then and answer them. Then we went on a sculpture walk which was cool because the sculptures were so detailed and there were heaps of huts made too.
We then went mountain biking in the same forest, and we had to follow the Instructor through the track. I didn't really enjoy it because I had no brakes and suspension on my bike.
After that we went Tree climbing which was so fun. You had to get in a harness and tighten it if you were climbing or the person that let them come down, then you had two muscle men who just had to pull really hard, and you had the bucket man who just had to put the rope in the basket so people dont trip and the ropes dont break.
Day: 3
We walked up Conical hill which was very steep and tiring but worth it when you got to the top, we then ate lunch at the top of the hill. After that we walked back down to the hill and walked to to Candy shop and the was a blast, but we were only allowed to spend $5.
I really liked camp because I haven't been to Hanmer in ages and it was a really good experience.

Myths And Legends W3 T2 Weekly reflections
Kia Ora. Today I wrote a Maori myths and legends of why it rains so much here on the West Coast of New Zealand.
Maui was a keen fisherman who discovered a magical fish on his travels to the West Coast. This fish was said to be able to evaporate into the clouds, then be part of the swirly clouds.
When Maui goes fishing he casts his line into the clouds. He catches a fish made of vapour so it makes the clouds lighter. When he does not catch a fish, the fish in the clouds eat his bait and the clouds get too heavy with the weight of the bait, so it rains.
Maui has a lot of fishing success in the summer, hence why it doesn’t rain for weeks in the summer. It is said that Maui shares his fish with his brothers and they reward him with hot sunny summers.
Maui doesn’t mind when he doesn’t catch a fish because the rain helps replenish the beautiful green rain forest and wildlife that can be found on the Wild West Coast.
